Immediately after the re-establishment of the province, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee issued many programs, plans and urban development planning for Vinh Yen of strategic significance such as Resolution No. 07 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on the development of Vinh Yen city to 2020, with a vision to 2030; Resolution No. 02 of the Vinh Yen City Party Committee on the construction and development of Vinh Yen urban area, period 2021 - 2030...
Along with that, focus on doing a good job of planning, prioritizing resources for building urban infrastructure, especially key projects and works, ensuring social security, and promoting economic development.
In the period of 2014 - 2021, the city has implemented 21 detailed planning projects at a scale of 1/500 for urban renovation and development in communes and wards; 42 detailed planning projects for urban functional areas such as residential land, urban housing projects, new urban areas, green parks... Up to now, the city has covered 100% of the general urban planning and urban subdivision planning.
In order to build and develop a synchronous and modern urban infrastructure, in 2014, after being recognized by the Government as a type II urban area, Vinh Yen city continued to receive investment to improve urban quality and develop the city in the direction of ensuring the criteria, especially after the Provincial Party Committee issued Resolution No. 04 on concentrated investment in building Vinh Phuc urban infrastructure until 2025 with a total investment capital for urban infrastructure projects in Vinh Yen city of more than 11,000 billion VND. In particular, in the period of 2014 - 2021, the provincial budget has allocated about 5,340 billion VND to invest in projects.
Along with that, the transport network invested in and built by the province and city is relatively modern, synchronous and interconnected, connecting localities in the province to meet the travel needs of the people, contributing to expanding urban space, gradually forming the urban infrastructure of Vinh Phuc.
Up to now, the city has formed a number of new routes to serve the travel needs of the people such as Ring Road 1, Ring Road 2; the road connecting 33m Nam Vinh Yen road to National Highway 2, Vinh Yen city bypass; traffic route combined with Dam Vac flood prevention dike phase 1...
Currently, the city has coordinated with provincial departments, branches and sectors to speed up the implementation of ADB loan projects to build urban infrastructure such as the Southern road parallel to the railway, completing phase 1; Vinh Yen city's Ring Road 2; the road connecting Kim Ngoc to the intersection with National Highway 2 bypass in the South...
To create green space for the city, in the period of 2018 - 2022, Vinh Yen city implemented 39 tree planting projects combined with investment in building technical infrastructure and social infrastructure; more than 26,000 shade trees were planted on streets and public places.
Many green parks have been completed and put into use such as Ho Chi Minh Square Park, Van Mieu Green Park, December 29 Park... Currently, the city is investing in more green parks in Dinh Trung Ward with a scale of 17 hectares, green parks in the southern area of Dam Vac with a scale of 44.5 hectares, and renovating and embellishing the Provincial Public Administration Service Center with a scale of 400 hectares.
Thanks to good planning and management of urban construction planning, Vinh Yen has created highlights in terms of community cultural activities and green spaces in the heart of the city from large projects such as the Red River Capital Resort, Ho Chi Minh Square Park, theater, Dam Vac Lake, Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, Vinh Phuc Temple of Literature, Provincial General Hospital, Vinh Phuc Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital and traffic projects, new urban areas...
Some projects and works are being prepared for investment in the coming time such as the Provincial Radio and Television Station, the Exhibition Center, introducing the province's socio-economic achievements, the Provincial Library... will continue to fundamentally change the urban appearance so that Vinh Yen can grow, become a livable city, and be the pride of every citizen.
To promote the role of the provincial center and core urban area of Vinh Phuc city in the future, Vinh Yen city continues to complete the urban infrastructure system, invest in traffic projects and key social infrastructure projects.
