Building a "specialized - professional" Environment and Life Magazine

On the afternoon of July 31, in Hanoi, Environment and Life Magazine held a ceremony to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the magazine's founding (August 1, 2008 - August 1, 2023).

15 years - a journey of building and development

At the Anniversary Ceremony, Journalist Nguyen Khanh Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Environment and Life Magazine said: Looking back on the 15-year journey of establishment and development, Environment and Life Magazine can be proud to be a press agency that always operates closely following its principles and purposes and successfully fulfills its mission as the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association.

In the early days of its establishment and operation, the Magazine faced many difficulties and challenges. However, with the attention, direction and facilitation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association, the collective of cadres, reporters, editors and collaborators of the Magazine always persevered in overcoming difficulties, upholding the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, creativity, daring to think, daring to do, striving to complete all assigned tasks, meeting the requirements of the press agency in the conditions of development and integration.

Up to now, the Magazine has consolidated important socio-political organizations such as the Party Cell and the Journalists Association. The Magazine's organizational structure is arranged into functional departments and has 3 representative offices located in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang City and Thanh Hoa. The quality of the Magazine's staff, reporters and editors has been improved, with strong political will, always upholding the ethical qualities of journalists, and mastering professional expertise.

From a printed magazine published once a month, in response to changes in readers' needs and ways of receiving information, and the development trend of multimedia journalism, on December 8, 2016, the e-magazine Environment and Life was officially launched to readers at the address: Moitruong.net.vn.

With the development trend of journalism in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution, the Magazine has "taken shortcuts, taken the lead", applied new journalism technologies, developed according to the multimedia journalism model, fully informed all aspects of life and society; especially information related to environmental protection, water resources and response to climate change through the Magazine's publications and programs such as: Environment and Life Magazine printed once a month; Moitruong.net.vn electronic magazine; MoitruongTV Youtube; Environment and Life Magazine Facebook fanpage; Environment and Life TV news; Talkshows, Online forums; Green Day Stories.

As the mouthpiece of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association, the Magazine is always proactive and creative in organizing information, propaganda, raising awareness and responsibility of people, businesses and the community in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws and the Resolution of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association on clean water, environmental protection, and response to climate change in life.

Entering a new phase, Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Khanh Toan affirmed that those working on Environment and Life will take the Magazine to a new level. To realize that aspiration, the team of people working on the Magazine will have to break through, with new, creative ways of working, daring to think and dare to do.

At the same time, the Magazine will continue to innovate strongly, improving the overall quality of all publications to meet the needs of readers. In particular, along with maintaining the stability of the printed Magazine, the Editorial Board will especially innovate, developing the Magazine according to modern journalism trends, promoting the organization of multimedia journalism products.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Linh Ngoc, President of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association, congratulated and commended the contributions of the Environment and Life Magazine to the activities of the Association and its units over the past time.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association said: Over the past 15 years, the Environment and Life Magazine - the mouthpiece of the Association has constantly strived to successfully complete the assigned tasks.

The magazine always fulfills its principles and purposes, being a prestigious forum for policy research and criticism; actively and effectively contributing to the implementation of the Association's tasks and State management work; being recognized and supported by central and local agencies, experts, the business community and readers.

From the early days when it faced many difficulties, the Magazine has now built a team of qualified, professional, enthusiastic and ambitious staff, reporters, editors and employees, who are determined to excel and become one of the leading media agencies in the field of environment, clean water and climate change in Vietnam.

The President of the Vietnam Clean Water and Environment Association believes that with the youth and enthusiasm, the staff, reporters and editors of the Environment and Life Magazine will continue to inherit and promote the tradition of the Association, always fully aware of their roles and responsibilities, continue to innovate more strongly in both content and form; actively contribute to research, policy making and communication work; truly become a forum for scientists, managers, the business community and worthy of a strong Magazine, "specialized - professional - dedicated", effectively contributing to the development of Vietnam's revolutionary press./.
