Advanced new rural construction in Trung Giap

After being recognized as meeting the new rural standards in 2018, with the motto of building a new rural area with only a starting point and no end point, Trung Giap commune, Phu Ninh district continues to direct and guide residential areas to maintain, sustain and improve the quality of the criteria. On July 30, 2024, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee issued a Decision to recognize Trung Giap commune as meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2023.

The militia and mass organizations of Trung Giap commune planted trees, created environmental landscapes, and developed the Trung Giap tea hill tourist experience site.

Comrade Phan Tien Cuong - Chairman of Trung Giap Commune People's Committee shared: The biggest concern of the locality when being chosen by the district as a pilot for building advanced new rural areas is how to create specific and practical results. Clearly identifying that, the Party Committee and the Commune People's Committee have expanded democracy, selected specific goals, solutions and tasks at each time. In the process of implementing the construction of advanced new rural areas, Trung Giap does not stop at investing in upgrading the infrastructure system but also focuses on economic development, reorganizing production to increase income and improve people's lives.

With the characteristics of a purely agricultural commune, with up to 88.9% of households being agricultural households, in order to develop the rural economy, the commune plans large-scale production areas, mobilizes people to consolidate land, develop farm economy, build high-tech application models, and link production according to the value chain. Currently, in the commune, there are 2 cooperatives operating under the 2012 Law on Cooperatives. Of which, Trung Giap Agricultural Service Cooperative specializes in beekeeping, bee breeding, honey production and agricultural services business with 71 members, with King's Honey product recognized as a 3-star OCOP product.

In addition to Trung Giap Agricultural Service Cooperative, Hai Duong Xanh Livestock Cooperative operates stably, the commune is also developing an economic model applying high technology in the field of livestock breeding, producing breeds in zone 7 with a scale of 6 closed chicken farms, 15 incubators, providing over 22,000 breeding chickens each year for farms inside and outside the province, with revenue reaching about 20 billion VND, profit of over 2 billion VND/year; creating jobs, increasing income for people in the commune.

In order to increase added value and meet the increasingly strict technical barriers of the export market, the commune has established Trung Giap Tea Cooperative, and at the same time completed the conditions for granting growing area codes for 16.8 hectares in the tea growing area of ​​Zone 7; built the commune's key products, including: Green tea, honey, rice, fruit trees (grapefruit, Gia Thanh persimmon), livestock, poultry, of which over 40% of honey and green tea products originating from Trung Giap are sold on e-commerce channels such as Zalo, Facebook, Fanpage of the province, district...

Thanks to the successful implementation of the advanced new rural construction program, the rural appearance of Trung Giap is increasingly improving.

Along with agricultural economy, the Party Committee and People's Committee of the commune always pay attention to and create conditions for households in the area to expand their scale and develop small-scale industries and services such as: Construction, tea processing, wood processing, mechanics, food, groceries, animal feed supply... while maintaining a workforce of over 1,750 workers working in industrial parks and clusters and over 130 workers working abroad. Currently, the average income per capita of the commune reaches 55.52 million VND/year, the multidimensional poverty rate is 2.02%...

In the commune, 3/3 schools meet national standards level 1, including a kindergarten that meets level 2 standards. In addition to the newly invested community learning center built with a cost of over 12 billion VND, with a scale of 300 seats, there are also 8/8 residential cultural houses to meet the needs of cultural and artistic activities, sports of the community... Implementing the Prime Minister's project and program to plant 1 billion scattered trees in the 2021-2025 period, the People's Committee of the commune has deployed, coordinated with mass organizations to propagate and mobilize people from all walks of life to participate in planting nearly 21km of trees, creating environmental landscapes on inter-commune, inter-village, inter-hamlet roads and residential areas.

Thanks to the construction of advanced new rural areas, Trung Giap has changed its appearance, the electricity system, roads, schools and stations have been newly built to be more spacious; security and social order are stable, the material and spiritual life of the people has been improved. This is a source of pride, excitement, and motivation for Trung Giap to continue to consolidate and further improve the quality of the criteria, affirming its position in the overall development of the whole district.
