DNVN - After 4 consecutive price reductions, from 3pm on September 19, gasoline prices increased by 51-127 VND/liter. Fuel oil prices were also adjusted up, but diesel and kerosene continued to decrease.
During the operating period on September 19, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance decided not to set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5 RON 92 gasoline, RON 95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.
Accordingly, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 51 VND/liter to 18,941 VND/liter, RON 95 III gasoline increased by 127 VND/liter to a new price of 19,762 VND/liter. While the price of fuel oil increased by 359 VND/kg to 14,826 VND/kg, diesel oil and kerosene decreased by 122 VND and 239 VND/liter, respectively, to new prices of 17,043 VND/liter and 17,551 VND/liter.
The decision to increase or decrease oil prices this time was made in the context of the world oil market from September 12 to 18 being affected by factors such as: the US Federal Reserve's decision to cut interest rates, storms in the US Gulf of Mexico, China's oil demand remains weak, the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues... These factors have caused world oil prices in recent days to increase or decrease depending on each product.
In the previous 4 operating periods, gasoline prices were adjusted downward. In the most recent period on September 12, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline fell below 19,000 VND/liter after decreasing by more than 1,000 VND/liter. Oil prices also dropped sharply from 688 VND - 934 VND/liter or kg depending on the type.
