Nearly 700 athletes compete at the National Club Pickleball Championship

2025 National Club Pickleball Championship – Donex Cup Competition is full of drama and excitement

This is the second year the national Pickleball tournament has been held in Vietnam, marking an important turning point in the journey of developing and spreading this new and potential sport .

The tournament brought together about 700 athletes and coaches from more than 50 Pickleball clubs nationwide, demonstrating the attraction and growing scale of the Pickleball movement in Vietnam.

Athletes compete in 5 categories: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles; divided into 2 categories: professional and amateur; and 3 age groups: under 35 years old, from 35 to 45 years old and from 46 years old and above.

Matches are held in accordance with the Pickleball Rules issued by the Asian Pickleball Federation, ensuring fairness and professionalism.

In particular, the tournament also has the participation of high-quality top tennis players such as: Le Xuan Duc, Nguyen Anh Thang, Huynh Chi Khuong, Pham Minh Tuan, Nguyen Dac Tien,... and international "warriors" such as: Mayur narayan, Mihika Sanjoy, Mihae Kwon, promising to bring intense, attractive and explosive encounters.

According to the plan, the official matches will take place from April 16 to 20, at two main locations: Pickleball court, Stadium No. 1 (Nghia Long Street, Tran Phu Ward, Bac Giang City) and Pickleball court cluster, Square 3.2.

Besides the intense and dramatic competitions on the field, the tournament is also an opportunity for clubs to exchange experiences, contributing to connecting the Pickleball community across the country.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Truong Quang Hai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Giang province, Head of the tournament organizing committee, said: “Pickleball is a new sport introduced to Vietnam, but has quickly received the attention of many people of all ages thanks to its attractiveness, ease of play and health benefits.

This tournament is not only an opportunity for athletes to compete, practice and improve their professional skills, but also an important milestone to promote the extensive development of the Pickleball movement in the country in general and in Bac Giang in particular."

The 2025 National Club Pickleball Championship in Bac Giang promises to be a remarkable sporting event, contributing to affirming the position and sustainable development of Pickleball in the Vietnamese sports system.

At the same time, it creates motivation for this sports movement to spread more and more, attracting more athletes and fans across the country.
