Specifically, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by VND427/liter, down to VND19,817/liter; RON 95 gasoline decreased by VND457/liter, down to VND20,547/liter.
Price of diesel 0.05S: Decreased by 103 VND/liter, down to 18,630 VND/liter; Kerosene decreased by 260 VND/liter, down to 18,708 VND/liter. Particularly, price of fuel oil 180CST 3.5S increased by 67 VND/kg, at 15,970 VND/kg.
In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and mazut oil.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on December 19, 2024 and the adjustment period on December 26, 2024 is: 80.323 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 2.543 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 3.07%); 83.673 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 2.543 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.95%); 87.310 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 1.654 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.86%); 88.813 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 0.753 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 0.84%); 448,068 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (up 1,576 USD/ton, equivalent to an increase of 0.35%).
On the world market, at 6:00 a.m. on December 26, WIT oil price increased by 15 cents, equivalent to 0.21%, to 70.25 USD/barrel. Brent oil price increased by 95 cents, equivalent to 1.31%, to 73.58 USD/barrel.
Oil prices were supported today by news that China will issue special treasury bonds worth up to 3 trillion yuan ($411 billion) in 2025. This will be the largest issuance ever, with a value three times higher than the 1 trillion yuan issuance in 2024. This special treasury bond issuance is expected to boost fiscal stimulus and revive the weakening economy.
Regarding supply-demand growth next year, analysts said crude oil production from countries outside the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+) will increase amid modest growth in global crude oil demand. This will help keep the market well supplied.
In the most recent adjustment period on December 19, the prices of all types of gasoline and oil were adjusted up by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, specifically the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by 383 VND/liter, not higher than 20,244 VND/liter. RON95 gasoline increased by 408 VND/liter, not higher than 21,004 VND/liter.
Diesel price increased by 478 VND/liter, not higher than 18,733 VND/liter. Kerosene increased by 402 VND/liter, not higher than 18,968 VND/liter and fuel oil increased by 329 VND/kg, not higher than 15,903 VND/kg.
In this operating period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.
