Determined 6/8 teams entered the Nations League quarter-finals

(Dan Tri) - After the victory over Hungary, the Netherlands became the 6th team to qualify for the Nations League quarter-finals.

In the 5th match of Group A3 which took place last night, the Netherlands won a resounding 4-0 victory over Hungary. With this result, the "Orange Storm" has secured the second place in the group with 8 points, 5 points more than Hungary in the context of only one round left. The Netherlands is definitely above Hungary due to a better head-to-head goal difference.

Thus, in Group A3, the Netherlands is certain to advance along with the top team Germany. This group no longer has much meaning in the final round when the rankings of the teams have been determined after the 5th round. Hungary is certain to be in 3rd place and will compete in the relegation play-off. Bosnia is relegated with the last position.

The Netherlands became the sixth team to qualify for the Nations League quarter-finals. The five teams that had already secured their tickets were Spain, Germany, Italy, France and Portugal.

In the final round, the remaining two places in the Nations League quarter-finals will be determined in Groups A and D. In Group A, Portugal is certain to advance with 13 points after 5 matches. Croatia is ranked second with 7 points, 3 points more than the two teams below, Poland and Scotland.

In the final match, Croatia will face Portugal, while Poland and Scotland will meet. Croatia only needs a draw with Portugal to qualify. If they lose, the Balkan team will have to hope that Scotland does not beat Poland in the remaining match. Overall, Croatia's chances of advancing are quite good.

In Group D, Spain has already qualified for the next round with 13 points after 5 matches. Denmark is in second place with 7 points, 2 points more than the third-placed team Serbia. Switzerland is certain to be relegated as it is at the bottom of this group.

Denmark and Serbia will face off in the final match to determine which team will advance. Denmark only needs to get 1 point in this match to complete their goal. Serbia must win to advance.

In the quarter-finals, the group winners will be seeded in Pot 1. They will face the runners-up in Pot 2. Teams that meet in the group stage do not have to meet in the quarter-finals.
