Windows 11 24H2 update continues to cause serious problems for PCs with Voicemeeter application installed, causing computers to continuously encounter "blue screen of death" (BSOD) errors and greatly affecting the user experience.
Microsoft confirms new Windows 11 'blue screen' issue 24H2 |
According to Microsoft, the issue occurs due to a conflict between the Voicemeeter audio tuning program driver and the Windows 11 24H2 update's memory manager, resulting in the MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error code.
To prevent this error, Microsoft has paused Windows 11 24H2 updates on computers with Voicemeeter installed. Users are advised not to update manually using the Installation Assistant or Media Creation Tool.
The temporary solution for users is to uninstall Voicemeeter and all its components. Alternatively, they can wait for a bug fix update from VB-Audio Software, the developer of Voicemeeter.
Microsoft says it will provide updates when a patch is available. This issue only affects Windows 11 24H2, older versions and Windows 10 are not affected.
Previously, the Windows 11 24H2 update also caused serious problems for users using Western Digital SSDs, causing computers to continuously encounter the "blue screen of death" (BSOD) error.
The continued crashes indicate that Windows 11 24H2 still has serious bugs. Users should be cautious when upgrading and should wait for bug fixes from Microsoft.
