Navy Region 4 sponsors fishermen's children

On September 5, in Cam Ranh city (Khanh Hoa), Brigade 146, Naval Region 4 organized a gift giving ceremony for 2 students who are children of fishermen in difficult circumstances.

Representatives of Brigade 146 command gave gifts to Quach Bao Yen on the occasion of the opening ceremony.

The two children are Quach Bao Yen in Cam Hai Dong commune, Cam Lam and Tong Ngoc Phuong Nghi in Cam Phu ward, Cam Ranh city, Khanh Hoa province on the occasion of the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, Brigade 146 will provide regular monthly financial support at the rate of 1,000,000 VND/child/month; visit and encourage children in their studies, ensure stable psychological life, have awareness and responsibility to behave properly towards themselves and society, have a healthy spiritual life, rich in will and determination to strive to overcome difficulties and become independent in life.

Colonel Pham Van Tho, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 146, said: “The Navy sponsors fishermen’s children” is an activity with profound humanitarian significance, contributing to building solidarity and close ties between the army and the people, consolidating and enhancing trust, helping fishermen feel secure in going out to sea, sticking to the sea, exploiting seafood and participating in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.

Major Thai Thi Hue, President of the Women's Union of Brigade 146, encouraged Tong Ngoc Phuong Nghi.

In order to further strengthen the military-civilian relationship, continue to expand and improve the effectiveness of the program "Vietnam Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea", in the coming time, Navy units in general and Brigade 146 in particular will continue to closely coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and organizations to review and select children of fishermen in especially difficult circumstances, orphaned minors, with no place to rely on, to receive sponsorship.

With the spirit, responsibility and affection of the officers and soldiers of Brigade 146 towards the children and their families. Contributing to caring for and stabilizing the lives of fishermen in coastal areas, strengthening the relationship of solidarity and attachment between the army and the people, spreading the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers" in the new era.
