Vietnam wishes to cooperate in many aspects with Colombia and Panama

Receiving Colombian Ambassador Miguel Angel Rodriguez Melo, the President thanked the spirit of international solidarity and the support of the Colombian Government and people for Vietnam in bilateral cooperation activities as well as in international forums, especially during the period when Vietnam had to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Affirming that Vietnam highly values ​​Colombia's role and position in the Latin American region, the President stressed that Vietnam strongly supports the peace process in Colombia and wishes to develop comprehensive cooperation, in politics - diplomacy, economy - trade, education cooperation, and people-to-people exchange, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability and development in the two regions.

President To Lam receives Panamanian Ambassador Eligio Salas III

Based on the results achieved, President To Lam suggested that both sides continue to create a favorable business and investment environment to strengthen connections between the business community in order to strive to bring two-way trade turnover to 1 billion USD in the coming time. The President emphasized that Vietnam is ready to act as a bridge to help Colombia expand relations with ASEAN countries.

The President also sent his regards and invitation to President Gustavo Petro to visit Vietnam, thereby contributing to strengthening and creating a new milestone in the relationship between the two countries.

Receiving Panamanian Ambassador Eligio Alberto Salas, the President acknowledged and appreciated the ambassador's contributions in promoting bilateral relations during his term through delegation exchanges at all levels, two-way trade exchanges, organizing events to promote Panamanian culture, and coordinating and supporting each other at international organizations and multilateral forums.

The President affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to Panama's important role and position in the Latin American region; wishes to further develop and enhance the effectiveness of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries, in politics - diplomacy, economics - trade, maritime, finance - banking, and people-to-people exchange, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, contributing to peace, stability, and development in the two regions.
