General Phan Van Giang presided over the welcoming ceremony for Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun.

On the morning of April 17, at Huu Nghi International Border Gate (Lang Son), a ceremony was held to welcome a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense led by Senior Lieutenant General Dong Jun, Minister of National Defense of China, to participate in activities in Vietnam within the framework of the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange.

The welcoming ceremony was conducted solemnly under the chairmanship of General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam. As soon as Minister Dong Jun led the high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Ministry of National Defense to the border line between the two countries, General Phan Van Giang came forward to warmly welcome them.

Afterwards, the two Ministers stepped onto the podium together to the heroic sound of military band playing the national anthems of the two countries. After the welcoming ceremony, the two Ministers and members of the two delegations took souvenir photos.

On this occasion, Minister Phan Van Giang and Minister Dong Quan planted friendship trees and visited the friendship tree garden planted by young soldiers of the two countries in the border gate area, demonstrating the determination of the young generations of the two countries in joining hands to preserve and promote the tradition of solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and China.

Afterwards, the two countries' Defense Ministers will participate in activities within the framework of the exchange, such as visiting Dong Dang Primary School and attending the inauguration ceremony of the multi-purpose building there; visiting the Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station; and visiting Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park.
