Recently, VAS held an Award Ceremony and honored more than 1,200 students with high achievements in the 2023 Cambridge International Examinations with the participation of the representative of the Cambridge International Examinations Council (CAIE), Mr. Melvyn Lim - Senior Country Director, in charge of Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia.

For the Cambridge international academic exams (Primary Checkpoint, Secondary Checkpoint, International General Certificate of Secondary Education - IGCSE, Advanced Diploma - AS and A Level), in addition to the 4 titles of "Highest Score in Vietnam", 50 VAS students achieved "Absolute Score in all subjects" and 216 students were awarded for achieving Good - Excellent scores in all subjects.
For the Cambridge English certificate exams (Starters, Movers, Flyers, PET, KET), 120 VAS students achieved "Absolute Score", 284 students achieved Good - Excellent scores and 602 students achieved high results.

The Cambridge General Education Program is one of the most popular international education programs today and is implemented in more than 10,000 schools in more than 160 countries around the world. This is also the program chosen to be taught in parallel with the national education programs of many countries around the world such as Sweden, Germany, Italy, Spain, Indonesia, India, etc.

It is known that Cambridge international exams are organized, graded centrally and results are sent to schools by the Cambridge Assessment International Examinations Board. Thousands of students around the world, all take these exams at the same time and receive results on the same day.

Speaking at the Awards Ceremony, Mr. Melvyn Lim also said that these awards demonstrate academic excellence and at the same time, symbolize the students' perseverance, determination and desire to acquire knowledge.
"Looking at the achievements of students, I see that VAS has succeeded in creating the premise and nurturing important skills typical of the Cambridge program, including critical thinking, problem solving, creativity, innovation, the spirit of curiosity, daring to explore and commitment," he added.

Meaningful messages from VAS teachers and students
At the honoring ceremony, parents attending listened to many meaningful messages from CAIE representatives, representatives of the VAS Executive Board and VAS students.
Tuong Loan, one of the four excellent students who received the title of "Highest Score in Vietnam", shared: "Studying will help us develop in a world that is constantly changing". According to Loan, everyone will experience changes in life, and although it is a bit scary, it is also a wonderful thing to look forward to in the process of growing up.
Dao Maja, representing the student receiving the high achievement award in the High School Checkpoint exam, said that although she had previously studied in Poland, she had never achieved the maximum score in Math and English. When she integrated into the international environment at VAS, she achieved excellent scores.
Maja also shared her study secrets such as: try many ways and find the best way to study, maintain the habit of reading books and develop self-study skills. "Self-study will be an important life skill throughout life. The important thing is that we strive to become the best version of ourselves. Just keep trying until you reach success and never give up," Maja shared.

In his message to the students at the Honors Ceremony, Mr. Nigel also advised them to think about their true values, because these are extremely valuable, perhaps even more valuable than academic achievements.
"Never lose sight of the importance of having a kind heart. Be yourself, try to spend less time on social media and mobile phones, and spend more time talking to family and friends," Mr. Nigel told the students at the ceremony.
