NDO - On the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024), this morning (November 19), the People's Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to present the "Outstanding Da Nang Teacher" award and commend the 2023-2024 school year.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Ky Minh - Permanent Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee praised and sent gratitude and wishes to all teachers on Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20.
Mr. Ho Ky Minh emphasized that each teacher is a shining example of hard work, effort and responsibility of the teaching profession in the face of the requirements of comprehensive innovation.
“The silent dedication of teachers has educated, nurtured, and trained generations of students with talent, virtue, and noble beliefs, achieving the goal of improving people's knowledge, training human resources, and nurturing talents to serve the country's industrialization.
In the coming time, schools need to improve the quality of teaching and learning, and the emulation movement of good teaching and good learning. Each teacher is a spreading nucleus, a leader of the learning movement, discovering and nurturing young talents, providing comprehensive education for students, helping them develop comprehensively to soon become excellent citizens of the country", Mr. Ho Ky Minh, believes.

According to Ms. Le Thi Bich Thuan - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang city, in the 2023-2024 school year, the Da Nang education sector has basically completed the set goals.
With the view that education is the "top national policy" and the foundation for sustainable development of society, in recent times, policies in the field of education have always received attention from the city's leaders for direction and timely implementation;
Many deeply humane policies such as tuition exemptions for students have contributed to sharing people's difficulties as well as creating conditions for all students to have the opportunity to go to school.
Basic schools are invested in the direction of standardization, modernization, and synchronization, ensuring that 100% of students study 2 sessions/day.
In recent times, the quantity and quality of awards at competitions for excellent students and gifted students of the education and training sector of Da Nang city have increased.

Accordingly, in the 2023-2024 school year, at the National Excellent Student Competition, 61 students won prizes, including 2 First prizes; 1 excellent student won First prize at the UPU International Letter Writing Competition and was the only representative of Vietnam to participate in the international competition; At the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival, the Da Nang City student sports delegation ranked 3rd overall with 64 Gold Medals...
At the program, 25 teachers were honored to receive the “Outstanding Da Nang Teachers” award. This is a noble award from Da Nang city for teachers with many outstanding achievements in teaching, demonstrating the special attention of the city leaders for the teaching staff.
On this occasion, 1 collective was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal; 4 collectives were awarded the Emulation Flag of the Government; 2 collectives were awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; 6 individuals were awarded the Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister; 1 collective was awarded the Emulation Flag of the People's Committee of Da Nang City;
18 collectives were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Education and Training; 6 collectives were awarded Certificates of Merit by the People's Committee of Da Nang City; 2 collectives were awarded the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" by the People's Committee of Da Nang City; 1 individual was awarded the title of City-level Emulation Fighter.
