Ho Chi Minh City Olympic Results: A newly established school won 25/30 students

Accordingly, the traditional Olympic competition is organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City every April for high school students with 13 subjects.

This year's exam took place on April 9 with the participation of about 3,000 10th and 11th graders from high schools (on average, each school selected 30 students with the regulation of 3 students/subject).

Candidates will take the exam at 8 test locations and take written tests in the subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, literature, history, geography, economic and legal education, English, Japanese, French, and Chinese. Foreign language subjects include a listening test. In the IT subject, candidates will take a computer programming test.

According to regulations, the percentage of students winning prizes must not exceed 60% of the total number of contestants, of which the first prize must not exceed 5% of the total number of prizes. Students who win prizes will be awarded certificates.

According to information from Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, in the 2024-2025 school year, the first year of the school's establishment, out of 30 students of the school participating in 10 subjects of the recent Ho Chi Minh City Olympic competition, 25 students won prizes (83.33%).

Among them, one first prize in math went to Luong Mai Trang, class 10A2, 12 students won second prize, and 12 students won third prize.

Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School was established in 2024 on the basis of reorganizing Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted. The school is organized and operates according to the regulations of the general school with many levels. With the results of students winning prizes in the Olympic competition in the first year of establishment, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City highly appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers participating in the work of fostering and training excellent students of the school.
