(NLDO) – On the afternoon of November 19, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held the 2nd Tran Dai Nghia Award Ceremony in 2024 to honor outstanding teachers in vocational education.
The Tran Dai Nghia Award is one of the prestigious awards, held every two years to honor outstanding individuals in the vocational education sector, who have made great contributions to the development of education, training and human resource development for the country.
10 outstanding teachers and managers honored at the Tran Dai Nghia Award ceremony
This award is named after Professor Tran Dai Nghia, a scientist, educator and person who has made special contributions to the development of education and vocational training in Vietnam.
This year, the Tran Dai Nghia Award honors 10 outstanding teachers and managers.
At the award ceremony, Ms. Tran Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, highly appreciated the achievements of vocational training institutions in recent times.
"At national vocational skills competitions, Ho Chi Minh City is always a locality with high achievements. In addition, vocational education students of Ho Chi Minh City also actively contribute to the overall achievements of the Vietnamese delegation at the ASEAN and world vocational skills competitions," Ms. Thuy emphasized.

As one of the 10 individuals receiving the award, Mr. Luong Xuan Thanh, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City Dance College, said: "This award is not only a great honor for me personally but also a recognition for the collective efforts that I am fortunate to be associated with and lead. I believe that in the vocational education sector there are many outstanding, excellent teachers with many contributions that need to be honored."
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also honored teachers with high achievements in the National Vocational Education Teachers' Competition and rewarded students who won prizes in the 2024 City Vocational Education Arts Performance Festival.
