At CES 2024, VinFast Auto (Nasdaq: VFS), Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle company, launched a completely new concept vehicle - VF Wild. This is the first pickup truck model announced by VinFast, affirming VinFast’s strong commitment to expanding its product range and promoting sustainable mobility through smart, versatile, safe and accessible electric vehicles for everyone.
The VF Wild concept car is a testament to VinFast's innovative ability to create a modern, open-minded electric pickup truck, a sustainable mobility solution with powerful performance for a new generation of users.
VF Wild belongs to the mid-size pickup truck segment, has an overall length of 209 inches (5,324 mm) and a width of 79 inches (1,997 mm). The compact design of the car will optimize space thanks to the flexible expandable cargo compartment, through the automatic folding feature of the windshield and rear seats, increasing the length of the cargo compartment from 5 to 8 feet (1,524 to 2,438 mm). This is also the longest size among models in the same segment, giving users a spacious space to carry goods, rest or entertain in the car, maximizing convenience.
The VF Wild concept also features a panoramic sunroof and electronic rearview mirrors to improve the vehicle's aerodynamics.
The design of VF Wild is the result of a collaboration between VinFast and Gomitiv Design Company (Australia), the result of more than 8,000 hours of research and development, with the participation of many leading designers. Inspired by the image of a superhero's cape fluttering in the wind, engineers from VinFast and Gomotiv created a special "Power of Flow" design language exclusively for VF Wild.
VinFast’s new concept car also makes its mark with a new naming convention. “Wild” represents the power of nature and the spirit of being ready to challenge all limits to break through and reach far, towards a green future for everyone - the mission that the Vietnamese car company always pursues.
