Vietnam receives 5 new generation T-6C aircraft from the US

On the afternoon of November 21, at a regular press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Pham Thu Hang received a question asking for comment on the information that the US handed over to Vietnam 5 out of 12 T-6C aircraft.

Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang said that on the basis of defense cooperation agreements between Vietnam and the US such as the 2011 Memorandum of Understanding on Promoting Defense Cooperation and the 2024 Joint Vision Statement on Defense Cooperation, on November 20, Vietnam received five new generation T-6C training aircraft manufactured by the US.

The spokesperson said that this cooperation activity is within the framework of the Vietnam-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace, Cooperation and Sustainable Development, which is developing well, actively contributing to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as the world.
