Tonight, December 6, at the Ho Guom Theater, Hanoi, the VinFuture 2024 global science and technology award ceremony is taking place. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech at the ceremony.

Notably, the event also featured a figure that has attracted the attention of domestic media in recent days, Mr. Jensen Huang, Chairman and CEO of NVIDIA, the richest Asian in America.

Mr. Jensen Huang was invited to attend the award ceremony as a scientist, leading the development of algorithmic architecture platforms for deep learning and accelerated computing at NVIDIA.

Mr. Jensen Huang, Chairman and CEO of NVIDIA Corporation, the richest Asian in America, attended the 2024 VinFuture Award ceremony of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong.

Another famous figure in the computer science world also appeared at the award ceremony, Professor Yann LeCun, Vice President and Chief AI Scientist at Meta Group. Professor LeCun also works at New York University, USA. He, along with Professor Yoshua Bengio (working at the University of Montreal, Canada) and Professor Geoffrey Hinton (working at the University of Toronto, Canada), are called by the world media as the "Godfathers of AI" or "Godfathers of Deep Learning". All three of them received the Turing Award (an award considered the Nobel Prize in the field of computer science) in 2018.

Entering its fourth season, the VinFuture Prize also affirmed its correct vision, when two groups of scientists previously honored by VinFuture continued to be recognized by the international scientific community at the Nobel Prize. In 2021, the group of the first VinFuture Prize winners, Dr. Katalin Karikó and Professor Drew Weissman, were awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Then, Dr. John Jumper and Dr. Demis Hassabis from Google DeepMind, the winners of the 2022 Special Prize for Scientists Researching New Fields, continued to be honored with the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their groundbreaking work on AI models predicting protein structures.
