According to the draw results, the Vietnamese women's team fell into group E with Guam, UAE and Maldives.
This is considered a very easy group and the girls in red have a good chance of winning tickets to the final round of the 2026 Women's Asian Cup.
Currently, the Vietnamese women's team is ranked 37th in the world. Meanwhile, Guam (ranked 92), UAE (112) and Maldives (163).
Three other strong representatives of Southeast Asian football, Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines, are also in relatively easy groups.
If they play to their full potential, these teams can absolutely win tickets to the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Finals.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian women's team fell into a very difficult group with the presence of Chinese Taipei - ranked 8th in Asia. The Malaysian women's team met North Korea - a team that has won the Asian Women's Cup 3 times.
In the 2026 Women's Asian Cup qualifiers, 34 teams are divided into 8 groups, 2 groups of 5 teams and 6 groups of 4 teams.
The top eight teams in each group will advance to the finals. The qualifiers will take place from June 23 to July 5, 2025.
There are currently 4 teams that have secured tickets to the 2026 Asian Cup finals: Australia (host) and the 3 teams with the highest achievements in the 2022 tournament, including China, Japan, and South Korea.
