Weather forecast for November 10.

On November 10, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) sent a telegram to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Binh Thuan; and relevant ministries and branches on responding to storm Toraji near the East Sea.

Storm Toraji is active in the sea east of Luzon Island (Philippines) and is forecast to enter the East Sea of ​​Vietnam on November 12 with a level 9 intensity, gusting to level 11.

To proactively respond to the storm's developments, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development requested ministries, branches, and Chairmen of the People's Committees of the above-mentioned provinces to closely monitor the storm's developments, manage vessels going out to sea; organize the counting of vessels and boats; notify owners of vessels and captains of vessels and boats in operation about the location, direction of movement and developments of the storm so that they can proactively avoid, escape or not move into dangerous areas.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the dangerous area in the next 24 hours is from latitude 16.5 - 21.0 degrees North latitude, east of longitude 119.0 degrees East longitude.

In the next 48 hours, the dangerous area is from Latitude 15.0 - 21.0 degrees North; East of Longitude 117.5 degrees East (dangerous area is adjusted according to forecast bulletins).

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development requires ministries, branches and People's Committees of the above coastal provinces and cities to prepare forces and means for rescue when requested.

The Voice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, Vietnam News Agency, the coastal information station system and mass media agencies from central to local levels are requested to strengthen measures to inform and disseminate information about the storm's developments to authorities at all levels and people so that they can proactively prevent and respond promptly and effectively.

Ministries and branches, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to storm developments. Be on duty 24/7, regularly report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development through the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention and Control.

On November 10, Mr. Nguyen Van Huong - Head of Weather Forecast Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that currently, the eastern region of the Philippines has 2 storms and 1 tropical depression active.

Typhoon Toraji is likely to move into the East Sea in the evening to the night of November 11. Therefore, after typhoon No. 7, typhoon No. 8 will appear.

"Under the impact of storm number 7 and then storm number 8, in the coming days, the northern and central areas of the East Sea will continuously have bad weather with strong winds, high waves and rough seas," Mr. Huong commented.
