In an interview with Welt and Bild (Germany), Mr. Zelensky said: "I am the President and I give appropriate orders. Ukraine does not do those things. I never act like that."

Ukraine's leader demands evidence of allegations that Kiev was behind the sabotage of the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines.

"If our military is said to have done it, then show us the evidence," he said.

The above statement of the President of Ukraine was made after German media quoted sources saying that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) knew about Ukraine's plan to sabotage the above pipelines many months before the incidents occurred.

The Washington Post, citing leaked information, said that the CIA knew about such an attack as early as June 2022, three months before the Nord Stream pipeline explosion.

According to this information, the CIA was informed by a European secret service that a group of six members of an elite Ukrainian unit planned to blow up natural gas pipelines in a secret diving operation.

According to media, German investigators have also concluded that six attackers did the same thing in September 2022.
