*Japanese military delegation visits China: A 13-member delegation from the Japan Self-Defense Forces (SDF) is on a nine-day exchange visit to China. The organizers expressed hope on November 28 that the visit will strengthen mutual understanding.
The SDF delegation led by Colonel Yoshinari Nagaoka of the Japanese Navy General Staff held discussions with members of the China Institute for International Strategic Studies - a think tank affiliated with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) - and the PLA Academy of Military Science during its visit from November 26.

Lt Gen Chiragh Haider said the 12th IDEAS conference held in Karachi under tight security conditions was a resounding success with many promising export deals being struck. The event was attended by representatives from over 55 countries, including the US, Russia, China, Turkey, Iran, Italy, the UK and Azerbaijan.

*Germany proposes to redeploy Patriot air defense systems in Poland: The German Defense Ministry announced on November 28 that the country has proposed to redeploy Patriot air defense systems in Poland - a NATO ally - at the beginning of the new year.

*EP passes resolution calling on EU to increase arms aid to Kiev: The European Parliament on November 28 passed a resolution calling on the European Union (EU) to increase arms aid to Kiev as well as expand sanctions against Russia.

*Former British soldier convicted of aiding Iran and terrorism: A former British soldier was convicted on November 28 of collecting sensitive information for people linked to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and collecting the names of special forces personnel.
Prosecutor Mark Heywood told the jury at the start of the trial at Woolwich Crown Court that Daniel Abed Khalife, 23, had collected sensitive information between May 2019 and January 2022. Former soldier Khalife is also accused of leaving a fake bomb on a table before fleeing from his barracks in January 2023 and of escaping from London's Wandsworth prison in September 2023 while awaiting trial on other charges. *Germany, France, UK issue joint statement on Israel-Palestine issue: In a joint statement released by Berlin on November 28, Germany, France and the UK called on Israel to extend compensation for essential services between Israeli and Palestinian banks for at least one year.
