In the first quarter of 2025, Chau Phu District People's Committee has completed and implemented 36/167 tasks of the 2025 work program of the District People's Committee. Accordingly, in the winter-spring crop of 2024 - 2025, the whole district has planted seeds on an area of ​​over 34,223 hectares; granted 33 codes for growing areas and packaging facilities; granted new business licenses to 90 production and business establishments, with a total capital of over 8 billion VND. Social security work has been given attention and implemented well. Since the beginning of the year, jobs have been created for 1,635 workers, reaching 36.33% of the plan. The locality is implementing a plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the district. Up to now, 64/167 houses have been completed; the remaining 103 houses are expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.

Concluding the conference, Chairman of Chau Phu District People's Committee Nguyen Phuoc Nen praised the efforts of the sectors, communes and towns in performing their tasks. At the same time, he requested that in the coming time, the sectors, communes and towns continue to synchronously deploy socio-economic development measures and implement the agricultural production plan for 2025. In particular, focusing on carefully preparing the stages and steps to organize the "Rice Harvest Festival to participate in the Project on sustainable development of one million hectares of high-quality and low-emission specialized rice associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030 in An Giang". At the same time, focusing on restructuring crops and livestock, contributing to increasing people's income; checking the progress and results of implementing the national target program on new rural construction in the district.

At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection of the implementation of regulations on electrical safety, fire prevention and fighting, and business conditions at markets and commercial centers in the district. Focus on food safety and hygiene inspection to ensure the health of consumers. Speed ​​up the progress of public investment; propagate and mobilize people to vaccinate children against measles.
