What's attractive about Quang Ngai and Ly Son tourism week?

Quang Ngai province will organize Quang Ngai tourism week and a series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024, with many activities to attract tourists.

On April 17, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province announced that from April 27 to May 5, Quang Ngai province will organize Quang Ngai tourism week and a series of cultural , sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, during the Quang Ngai tourism week , a series of activities will take place: Workshop "Developing rural tourism, community tourism in Quang Ngai province - opportunities and prospects"; Khao le the linh Hoang Sa ceremony and traditional boat racing festival of four sacred animals; Quang Ngai women's beach volleyball tournament; exhibition of sea and island cultural heritage; festival "Each OCOP product is a story" and space for agricultural and rural community tourism...

Ly Son Island is always well prepared for sports competitions taking place in the area.

A series of cultural, sports and tourism events on Ly Son Island will take place from May to August 2024, including activities such as: Hot air balloon festival "flying to Ly Son"; artistic kite flying; sea swimming competition, Ly Son cross-country race "Following the footsteps of the frontline"...

To prepare for this event, Quang Ngai province will promote activities that have attracted tourists in previous years, especially the sea swimming race and the Ly Son cross-country race.

In May 2023, more than 300 athletes and more than 500 runners participated in the "Ly Son Island Route" cross-country race on Ly Son Island, with distances of 21 km, 10 km and 5 km. The athletes were very excited when running across onion and garlic fields; historical relics, Thoi Loi volcano, To Vo gate and the dreamy sea on Ly Son Island, promising to return this summer 2024.

This year's holiday, Ly Son island will organize a four-spirit boat race.

The cross-sea swimming competition on May 28, 2023 in Ly Son has nearly 250 athletes participating, including 10 former national swimmers and 10 foreign athletes, competing in 3 distances: 5 km, 2 km and 1 km. Swimming in the clear water while looking down at the seabed, admiring the nearly 3 nautical mile long coral reef from Big Island to Small Island (Ly Son); then swimming through the wide basins of two tens of millions of years old volcanic craters under the sea makes the athletes very excited and eager to return to continue conquering the beautiful swimming route on Ly Son Island.

Quang Ngai Tourism Week and a series of cultural, sports and tourism events in Ly Son in 2024 aim to introduce and promote the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Quang Ngai in general and Ly Son in particular; contributing to stimulating demand, attracting tourists, promoting the socio-economic development of the province in 2024 and the following years.

Mr. Ta Cong Chuc,   The Deputy Director of the Port Management Board and Inland Waterway Port Authority of Sa Ky Port (Quang Ngai) said that to serve the tourist week, the unit has planned to increase 7-9 boat trips/day from Sa Ky Port to Ly Son Island and vice versa.
