(kontumtv.vn) – On the morning of March 28, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Kon Tum Province to organize a launching ceremony to simultaneously build houses for poor households and households with housing difficulties in the Central Highlands provinces.
Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung; Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda for Ethnic and Religious Affairs Dieu Muu; Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Duong Van Trang - Head of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Kon Tum Province; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi; Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Gia Lai Province Pham Thi To Hai.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan said that the total number of temporary and dilapidated houses that need to be eliminated in Kon Tum province is 2,752. After reviewing funding sources, the province has only secured more than 72% of the total funding needs. Kon Tum province has called for mobilization and received support from the Ministry of Public Security with 84 billion VND to build 1,400 new houses. As of March 26, the whole province has eliminated temporary and dilapidated houses for 1,776/2,752 households, reaching a rate of 65%. In the coming time, the province will continue to resolutely and synchronously implement solutions to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses according to the set plan, ensuring quality and real effectiveness as well as strengthening the propaganda work on the Party and State's policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses to all classes of people; Encourage and motivate people to strive to improve, try to provide additional funding to build and repair more solid and spacious houses.
Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung said that the Ministry of Public Security always cares about the lives of ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands in particular and the whole country in general. In recent times, many specific solutions to improve people's lives have been implemented by the Ministry of Public Security. Of which, more than 18,100 houses and many schools have been supported to build with a budget of more than 780 billion VND. The Ministry of Public Security continues to mobilize resources to eliminate thousands of temporary and dilapidated houses for ethnic minorities. The Deputy Minister of Public Security mobilized the entire People's Public Security force to simultaneously eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the Central Highlands provinces; requested the People's Public Security force to promote the youth, enthusiasm, and glorious tradition of the People's Public Security to actively contribute efforts, join hands with local authorities and people to soon complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van Trang acknowledged and sincerely thanked the Ministry of Public Security for its attention and support for Kon Tum province in particular and the Central Highlands region in general in implementing the policy of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; at the same time, he said that in the coming time, the province will focus on accelerating the implementation progress, effectively using the capital and funds supported by the Ministry of Public Security to complete the goal of completely eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses before June 30, 2025.
Delegates cut the ribbon, presented symbolic keys and gifts from the Minister of Public Security to households representing families subject to the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in Kon Tum province in 2025. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Tuan presented a letter of thanks to representatives of sponsors. The Director of the Provincial Police and representatives of the Police of the Central Highlands provinces committed to effectively implementing and ensuring the progress of the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses in the Central Highlands provinces. After the ceremony, delegates visited the supported model house and attended the housewarming ceremony of the households./.
