Key tasks and breakthroughs
Minh Duc Commune Party Committee is a bright spot in the work of developing Party members in Tu Ky district. In 2024, the Commune Party Committee admitted 11 Party members, exceeding the assigned target by 1 member. This is also the unit that develops Party organizations in the most foreign-invested enterprises in the district, namely Sky Dragon Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Sees Vina.
Minh Duc Commune Party Committee always identifies developing Party members as one of the important political tasks in Party building. Every year, the Commune Party Committee registers to exceed the target of recruiting Party members as a key and breakthrough task; at the same time, it directs Party cells to review the source of outstanding union members, association members, and the masses to introduce them to attend Party awareness training classes and assign Party members to help.
Minh Duc Commune Party Secretary Nguyen Huu Lang said: “The locality’s annual Party membership source is not large. To be proactive, the Party Committee directs Party cells and organizations to do a good job of reviewing, grasping, and evaluating the actual source of Party member development and developing specific plans for training and admission. Therefore, over the years, the Commune Party Committee has always fulfilled and exceeded the targets assigned by superiors.”
Tu Ky High School Party Cell is a unit that always fulfills the task of developing party members well. Last year, Tu Ky High School organized the admission of 5 students to the Party. These are all students with outstanding academic achievements, good qualities and ethics, exemplary, leading in movements and activities at school. After admission, they all passed the entrance exams to top universities, promoting the pioneering role of youth in the Party Committees of universities.
Comrade Secretary of Tu Ky High School Party Cell, Principal of the school Vu Van Sang said: "The school always creates the best conditions for students to develop their abilities, supports them in training and striving to become Party members."
Many other Party Committees in Tu Ky District have also admitted Party members exceeding the target, such as the Party Committees of Quang Phuc and Ngoc Ky communes (now Ky Son commune); Tu Ky town; District Medical Center... In 2023 and 2024, Tu Ky District exceeded the target of admitting Party members assigned by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. Specifically, in 2023, Tu Ky District Party Committee admitted 184 Party members, exceeding 22.67%; in 2024, it admitted 162 Party members, exceeding 8%.
Focus on reviewing and assigning targets
Right from the beginning of the term, the District Party Committee issued a project to strengthen the work of recruiting party members so that party committees, party organizations and party members at all levels are deeply aware of the role, meaning and importance of party member development work in the current period.
Every year, the Party Committees of communes and towns also register to carry out key and breakthrough tasks associated with exceeding the Party member recruitment target. From there, the unit strives to focus and strive to carry out the breakthrough work well.
Faced with difficulties in Party recruitment sources, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee requires Party committees at all levels to attach importance to the work of creating sources right from Party cells, socio-political organizations in villages and residential areas, focusing on outstanding masses.
According to Mr. Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Head of the Organizing Committee of Tu Ky District Party Committee, as soon as the notice of assigning targets for developing party members was announced, the committee promptly advised the District Party Committee to assign targets to the party cells and affiliated party committees. Depending on the actual conditions and the results of reviewing the sources of party admission, the District Party Committee allocates the admission targets accordingly; at the same time, considering the completion of the party member admission target as a criterion when evaluating and classifying the party cells and affiliated party committees at the end of the year.
"Completing the target of recruiting party members is not only the task of the party committee but also requires the participation of the entire political system, especially the mass organizations. Through their movements, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations will find typical factors to nurture and train, thereby creating a source of introducing outstanding members and union members to the Party," said Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Head of the Organizing Committee of Tu Ky District Party Committee.
In addition to developing party members in the branches and affiliated party committees, Tu Ky is the first locality in the province to open a training course for Party members working in enterprises in the district. Many workers have joined the Party and are active in the village and residential area party cells where they live.
