From 0:00 on February 23, how will traffic flow during the inspection of the old Dong Nai bridge?

To ensure safety during the inspection of the old Dong Nai bridge, the authorities will direct traffic and provide appropriate route guidance, ensuring smooth travel.

On February 22, Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration) said that the unit is implementing an inspection of the old Dong Nai bridge in the direction from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai.

Authorities will inspect Dong Nai bridge from 0:00 to 5:00 am.

To serve the inspection process, the authorities announced that they will restrict traffic across the bridge from 0:00 to 5:00 tomorrow (February 23).

At the same time, the authorities also have a traffic diversion plan to facilitate traffic during the bridge inspection process.

For motorbikes on the route, every 30 minutes, motorbikes are allowed to circulate for about 5-10 minutes, after which the unit will continue to ban them for inspection.

As for cars, the authorities will guide vehicles traveling from Ho Chi Minh City to the Dong Nai bridge to go under the bridge to turn back. Then, go to Provincial Road 16 towards Tan Van, Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, cross Buu Hoa Bridge to Dang Van Tron Street, cross An Hao Bridge then Le Van Duyet Street and go to National Highway 1 at Vung Tau intersection to continue the journey.

In case of prolonged traffic congestion on Highway 1, the authorities will regulate traffic similarly to motorbikes to ensure traffic flow.

Vehicles going from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai will turn towards Provincial Road 16, cross Buu Hoa Bridge, then cross An Hao Bridge to reach Vung Tau intersection and continue their journey.

Road Management Area IV recommends that during this time, vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 in the direction of Dong Nai should limit traffic on the bridge. At the same time, drivers need to comply with the orders of the authorities to ensure traffic safety during the bridge inspection and load testing process.

The old Dong Nai Bridge on National Highway 1 is a vital bridge connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai, which began construction in 1964. Currently, the old bridge has begun to show signs of deterioration. This inspection aims to assess the safety level and propose maintenance and repair plans to ensure safe traffic in the future.
