Communicating the ideology of national governance through multilingual cultural programs

The program “Stories that President Xi Jinping loves” - a multilingual TV program produced by China Central Radio and Television (CMG), seeks to communicate the Chinese leader's thoughts on governing the country through a new type of TV program combining cultural and ideological elements.

According to the introduction of CMG, the program selects classic Chinese anecdotes and famous quotes that General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping used in important speeches and articles, focusing on topics such as people first, reform and innovation, common prosperity, ecological environment protection, cultural inheritance, and civilizational diversity, expressing the political views, humanism, historical views and world views of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, demonstrating the foundation of Chinese-style cultural modernization through a multilingual program.

It is known that the program chooses topics such as belief, loyalty, responsibility, patriotism, trust, creativity, green, sharing, striving, dreams..., through stages such as recreating the original documentary of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, interpreting classics, decoding thoughts, interactive conversations, reading classic works..., creating a foundation to open up thoughts, spread feelings connecting the past and present and multi-sensory, introducing the origin, context, historical stories and real-life meanings of the anecdotes quoted by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh assessed this program as meaningful, especially from a cultural perspective. General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, in his discussions with Vietnamese leaders, also repeatedly quoted Chinese idioms, anecdotes, and classic sayings.

The media of the two countries, especially the official press agencies, play a particularly important role in bringing the policies of the Party and State closer to the people of each country, and are also the leading force in enhancing mutual understanding between the people of Vietnam and China.

Up to now, the program "Stories that President Xi Jinping loves" has been translated and broadcast in many languages ​​such as English, Russian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Spanish... causing great resonance in many countries around the world./.
