An Tuc Secondary School inaugurated the project "Space for reading and Team activities"

- On the afternoon of March 21, the Provincial Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union of An Giang province, in coordination with the Youth Social Work Center, held the inauguration ceremony and handed over the project "Space for reading and Team activities" to An Tuc Secondary School (An Tuc commune, Tri Ton district).

Director of the Youth Social Work Center Nguyen Thanh Han; Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Huu Ngoc; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of An Giang Province Do Minh Sang; Vice Chairman of Tri Ton District People's Committee Vo Thanh Tuan attended.

In addition to the function of a book library, the “Reading and Team Activity Space” has many features and utilities; helps connect, enhance interaction, apply information technology; designed to suit the characteristics and culture of the locality. On that basis, it helps team members, children, and students have a place to organize Team activities that are richer, more attractive, and more lively.

In addition, the books provided in the “Reading and Team Activities Space” are selected works, diverse in genres and fields such as: history books, science books, books on ethics and lifestyle, skill instruction books. Especially books and stories about the historical traditions of the Vietnamese people; the struggle and national liberation of President Ho Chi Minh; the examples of typical heroes and martyrs of the Youth Union, Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers, etc. The total cost of the project is 50 million VND, supported by the Center for Development of Reading Culture and Publishing Economy.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuc (Principal of An Tuc Secondary School) said that the school has up to 90% of Khmer ethnic minority students, about 50% of whom have poor or near-poor families. Therefore, it is always difficult to mobilize parents to take care of school activities. Having a "Space for reading and Team activities" will create favorable conditions for students in their daily life and study...
