"Special Notice"
In the announcement of the benchmark scores for grade 10 admission at Marie Curie School (Hanoi), the benchmark score for grade 10 admission at My Dinh campus in the first round is up to 42 points (equal to or higher than top public high schools). Candidates registering at campus 1 will come to complete admission procedures on July 5.
If there are still vacancies, the school will continue to enroll students in the second round at this facility with a standard score of 40 points. Candidates will complete admission procedures on July 6.
At Van Phu campus (Ha Dong) of Marie Curie School, the benchmark score for the first round was 38 points, and for the second round it was 36 points.
The benchmark score for entering grade 10 at Marie Curie School Hanoi this year is up to 42 points.
Notably, this year Marie Curie School also has a "special announcement" about enrolling 10th graders at the newly completed and put into use facility of the school, Viet Hung (Long Bien) with 600 quotas. This is also the facility with the largest area, scale and most modern investment of the school up to this point.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khang, Chairman of the School Board, shared: The reason for the word "special" is because this enrollment announcement was only sent out at the "89th minute" after many days of anticipation. Three months ago, in early April, in the enrollment announcement for grade 10 at My Dinh and Van Phu campuses, there was only the line: "Grade 10 enrollment at Viet Hung campus will be announced at the appropriate time".
By June, when students had finished their exams and it was time to know their exam scores; then came the day when the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the exam scores, many parents anxiously asked if the school would enroll 10th graders at Viet Hung campus, but there was no announcement yet. And the expected thing happened, Marie Curie High School, Viet Hung campus was granted an establishment license by the Hanoi People's Committee, granted an operating license by the Department of Education and Training, and assigned enrollment quotas.
According to the announcement, after parents and students register online for admission to the school from 6 p.m. on July 1, on July 3, the school will announce the admission scores for grade 10 at Viet Hung campus and complete admission procedures from July 4-5.
Ta Quang Buu Secondary and High School has just announced that the first round of 10th grade admission scores this year is 38 points and opened the online registration portal from the afternoon of July 2. From 8:00 to 11:00 on July 3, the original documents will be received for the above group of students who have successfully registered for online admission.
Students who do not meet the first round's benchmark scores can register for the waiting list at the same time as the first round to be given priority for the second round if there are still spots available. It is expected that at 1:30 p.m. on July 3, the second round's benchmark scores (if any) will be announced and priority will be given to students who have registered for the waiting list.
Announce the floor score before "closing" the benchmark score
Admission information and admission scores for grade 10 at Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da, a fully autonomous public school in Hanoi, are also expected by parents no less than top public schools.
If in previous years the school announced the admission scores immediately and conducted the admission procedures, this year, Phan Huy Chu High School announced the minimum score for students to register for online admission from 39.5 points or higher.
Candidates who have enough minimum scores and wish to enter the school will register online from 7am to 5pm on July 2. After this time, the admission software will automatically lock.
The school will check and compare the data entered by candidates, from high to low until the quota is met, send emails to successful candidates and announce the admission scores. The expected announcement time is before 7:00 a.m. on July 3.
Candidates who receive an email notification of admission by the score review method will submit their application directly to the school. The lowering of the standard score and additional recruitment (if any) will be announced at 7:30 a.m. on July 4.
In the 2024-2025 school year, in addition to the public high school system, Hanoi also has more than 100 private schools, 29 vocational education and training centers, and nearly 50 vocational training institutions enrolling 10th grade students. The enrollment target for public schools is 81,200 students; the remaining 51,800 students will be enrolled in private schools, vocational education and training centers, and vocational training institutions.
