Saigon International University has the SIU Prize to honor outstanding doctoral theses that have been successfully defended within 5 years. This prize will award 10 billion VND per season (2 years/time) to 5 doctoral theses in each field of computer science and health.

The best doctoral thesis will be awarded VND2 billion in cash and an 18K gold medal. The second-place doctoral thesis will be awarded VND1 billion in cash and a silver medal. The VND400 million and VND200 million in cash will be awarded to the remaining theses in the top 5.

At the University of Natural Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City, the Le Van Thoi Award is given to students with excellent graduation thesis, excellent master's thesis and excellent doctoral thesis. The application must have at least one international article with an impact factor (IF) in the Q1 group of the industry with the candidate as the main author (first author or corresponding author) and the content of the article must be directly related to the topic of the thesis/dissertation/dissertation.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has a "HUTECH Talent" scholarship for students with excellent academic performance ranked from 1 to 3 of each course, with an average grade point of 3.2/4.0 or higher and a moral training assessment result of 80 or higher.
