(CLO) The exhibition "Golden liver, iron heart" introduces the life and career of 9 generals with talent and virtue in the struggle for national liberation.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024), on December 12, the Hoa Lo Prison Relic Management Board held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Golden liver, iron heart."
The thematic exhibition "Golden liver, iron heart" introduces historical milestones of the Vietnam People's Army on the 80-year journey of formation and development.
The exhibits and images on display tell about the lives and careers of nine generals with talent and virtue who contributed to the victory of the national liberation struggle: General Vo Nguyen Giap (1911 - 2013), General Nguyen Chi Thanh (1914 - 1967), General Van Tien Dung (1917 - 2002), Senior Lieutenant General Dinh Duc Thien (1914 - 1987), Senior Lieutenant General Song Hao (1917 - 2004), Lieutenant General Vuong Thua Vu (1910 - 1980), Lieutenant General Vu Xuan Chiem (1923 - 2012), Major General Tran Tu Binh (1907 - 1967), Major General Huynh Dac Huong (born in 1920).
The exhibition consists of 3 parts. Part I: "Historical milestones" introduces to viewers each historical moment and the name of the Vietnamese army. Regardless of the name, the Vietnam People's Army is always an army "born from the people, fighting for the people".
Part II: "Perseverance" introduces the lives and careers of nine generals whose talents, virtues and achievements contributed to the victory of the national liberation struggle.
Part III: "Unfading Memories" is about the memories of the generals. Behind the strong and steadfast appearance of the generals is always the closeness and sharing with their comrades and teammates. On the fierce battlefield, in the peaceful moments after the gunfire, the generals take the opportunity to send all their love through letters, small gifts... to their families. The memories of the generals will always be unforgettable memories in the minds of their relatives and teammates.
The exhibition “Golden liver, iron heart” helps the public better understand the hardships and fierceness of war and the contributions of generals to the cause of national liberation. The exhibition also contributes to fostering national pride, thereby helping today’s young generation to step more firmly on the path of protecting and building the Fatherland.
The exhibition will run until February 28, 2025 at Hoa Lo Prison Historical Site, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
