(CLO) President Donald Trump announced that the US will take over the Gaza Strip and relocate Palestinians elsewhere. This intention has been strongly opposed by many countries in the region and around the world.
Palestine
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas affirmed that Palestinians will not give up their land, rights and holy sites, stressing that the Gaza Strip is an inseparable part of the State of Palestine, along with the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Palestine Liberation Organization Executive Committee Hussein al-Sheikh said: "The Palestinian leadership affirms its firm stance that the two-state solution, in accordance with international legitimacy and international law, is the condition for ensuring security, stability and peace."
Hamas senior commander Sami Abu Zuhri
"Our people in the Gaza Strip will not allow these plans to pass, and what is needed is an end to the (Israeli) occupation of our people, not their expulsion from their country."
Saudi Arabia
"Saudi Arabia firmly opposes any action aimed at forcing Palestinians to leave their homeland. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman stressed the kingdom's position in a clear and unequivocal manner, leaving no room for misunderstanding or interpretation under any circumstances," the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
France
"France once again reaffirms its opposition to any forced displacement of Palestinians in Gaza, considering it a serious violation of international law, damaging the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people. At the same time, this action also hinders the two-state solution and seriously destabilizes our important partners such as Egypt, Jordan and the entire region," French Foreign Ministry spokesman Christophe Lemoine said.

Spain
"I want to emphasize that Gaza is the homeland of the Palestinian people and they have the right to remain there. Gaza is part of the future Palestinian state that Spain supports, and the two states must coexist to ensure peace, prosperity and security for both Palestine and Israel," said Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares.
Ireland
"The way forward here is clear: We need a two-state solution where both Palestinians and Israelis have the right to live safely in neighbouring states. Any idea of relocating Gaza residents elsewhere is contrary to UN Security Council resolutions," Irish Foreign Minister Simon Harris said.
Egypt
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa the importance of promoting reconstruction projects in Gaza, stressing that Palestinians should not be forced to leave the Gaza Strip.
Iran
"Iran does not agree with any Palestinian displacement and has communicated this through various channels," a senior Iranian official said.
Russia
Russia believes that the solution to the Middle East problem can only be achieved on the basis of a two-state solution.
"This is the position stated in the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, and is also the common position of the majority of countries involved. We proceed from there, support it and believe that this is the only viable option," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
China
"China hopes that all parties will take the ceasefire and post-conflict management as an opportunity to put the Palestine issue back on track, moving towards a political solution based on the two-state solution," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
Türkiye
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said US President Donald Trump's comments about plans to take over Gaza were "unacceptable". Any plans to remove Palestinians "from the equation" would only lead to more conflict.
United Kingdom
Environment Secretary Steve Reed said: “The UK Government’s view is that Palestinians must be able to return to their homes and rebuild their lives. For these people, the past months have been a living nightmare, and it is vital that they are able to return to their homes to start rebuilding.
Australia
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said: "Australia's position remains the same this morning, as it did last year. The Australian Government supports a two-state solution on a bipartisan basis."
