In the program On Chair on February 4, racer and safe driving instructor Tien Tran shared about his job.
* In the past year, you have had many changes in your life and career when you no longer focus on leading groups and car trips like before. What is the reason, sir?
- In previous years, people knew me for my activities in the car industry such as leading groups, racing or organizing car experience events.
I think everyone wants to have a stable job, a stable place to live to take care of their family, no one likes such a disruption. But when the work has achieved certain results, I want to expand to other fields.
Before entering the car industry, I also worked in another industry. Now I continue to expand my work to other fields such as construction.
When the opportunity arose in the construction industry, I decided to devote more time to the new job and still keep a certain amount of time in the automotive industry.
Because cars are really my passion. When I was in high school, my school faced Nguyen Trai Street (Hanoi). During recess, I saw a BMW 3-Series and shared this with my friends. However, what I received from those friends was a sentence that I still remember to this day: "What do you know about cars?"
Later, when I started working, I had the opportunity to own a car and join car clubs, having practical experiences with cars. I also modified cars and participated in off-road races in Vietnam. These experiences gave me a lot of experience to be able to work in the car industry.
* In the year of the Dragon, which trip do you remember the most out of all the journeys you took?
- Working in the automotive industry, my work is diverse, including test driving events and organizing racing competitions. In particular, I have to mention organizing trips for the media and customers.
Last year, the journey that I was most proud of was with the Ford Territory. At that time, when the journey was about to start, storm No. 4 suddenly hit the Central region, right at the starting point in Hue City. Many options were proposed, including postponing the program, or even canceling it completely.
The day before the start, Phu Bai airport was almost in the eye of the storm, the members who arrived early to prepare had to wait a long time for the plane to land.
The next morning, luckily it was only raining lightly, and the two flights carrying journalists from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City were able to land on schedule.
Thanks to that, our trip went as planned. It was only a light rain when we left. The second day was sunny and the group had a perfect third day.
* Now, in the series Hello Spring At Ty 2025 of the show On The Chair, I have 10 interesting questions for you.
First question. Tour guide or business?
- Business.
Racing or leading a group?
- Racing.
Work alone or work in a team ?
- Teamwork.
Freelance, self-employed or employee?
- Of course, in any job or field, I think everyone wants to be their own boss. Perhaps people choose to work for others out of necessity. In addition, nowadays, many young people like to work freelance.
Personally, I choose to be my own boss.
Korean car, Japanese car, American car or Chinese car?
- I prefer American cars. My hobby is cars and speed. The first car I actually owned was an American car. I upgraded and modified that car a lot.
SUV, pickup or sedan?
- Before, I chose a pickup truck. But now to prioritize my family, I choose an SUV.
Have 10 billion, what do you do?
- I like business and being an owner. So, if I had 10 billion, I would invest in business.
If you were given 10 billion to buy your dream car, what would be the name you would think of?
- My dream is a Land Rover Discovery.
If you only have 1 million left now, what will you do?
- That's a tough question. I think I'll probably look for some investment to start building again.
If you retired early tomorrow, what would you do?
- If I retire early, I will probably still find something related to business.
Or with my experience and knowledge, I can guide or advise those who want to set up a racing team to participate in domestic and even international racing competitions such as the AXCR Asian Cross Country Rally.
* You are truly a man of work. This man is determined not to retire. What are your plans for the new year of the Snake?
- For me, At Ty 2025 will be a challenging year. But I think challenges come with opportunities, I will always be ready for such challenges. Currently, I have two big plans.
First, I will spend more time on construction work.
Second, I will still maintain a certain amount of time for work in the automotive industry. After the journey with Ford Territory, I will collaborate with a friend to continue to conduct and organize automotive industry journeys, bringing unique and emotional experiences.
As a person born in the year of the Snake, up to now 3 "giap" and 2025 is my year, I wish all the viewers of On Ghe a peaceful new year, reaping success in your work.
