Hanoi was seething with revolutionary spirit before 1945, clearly shown through the work "Capturing the Northern Palace" by artist Tran Dinh Tho. Hanoi's heroic early days of the resistance war were recreated through the works "Nga Tu So Citadel" and "Cho Mo" by artist Nguyen Van Ty, "Hanoi in 1947" by artist Cong Van Trung, "Capital of Resistance" by artist Nguyen Quang Phong... The heroic memories of a time of resistance by the steadfast army and people of the capital always bring proud feelings to viewers.

After 9 years of resistance, the image of Hanoi is depicted in the brilliant atmosphere of flags and flowers welcoming the troops returning to liberate the capital. Works such as: Hanoi on Liberation Night (painter Le Thanh Duc), Hang Duong Street (painter Trinh Huu Ngoc), The Joy of Liberation (painter Tran Khanh Chuong)... are beautiful images engraved, remembered, and always live forever in the hearts of every Hanoian.

In particular, Hanoi is also the land that President Ho Chi Minh spent the longest time in. Despite being busy with a thousand and one things, he still took the time to visit and encourage his compatriots, soldiers, workers and the future young generation of the capital. That close and intimate image is recorded through the works of Uncle Ho with Gia Lam railway workers by painter Pham Van Lung, Uncle Ho visiting the kindergarten class by painter Do Huu Hue...

In addition, many works show a steadfast Hanoi through the years of war, striving to build an increasingly beautiful capital. That is a quiet, ancient Hanoi through the works of artists Tran Binh Loc, Bui Xuan Phai... The strong colors of the construction of the capital are shown through the works of artists Pham Van Don, Vu Duy Nghia, Kim Thai, Nguyet Nga... also promise to bring viewers special emotions about Hanoi in the autumn days of this year.

The exhibition combines traditional displays with modern digital projection technology, and includes woodblock printing to provide an engaging experience for art lovers.

Visiting the exhibition, Phan Phuong Anh (student of the Academy of Journalism and Communication) shared: "As a child born and raised in Hanoi, I was very moved when visiting the exhibition. Although I was born in the later generation, when looking at the works of art, I felt the heroic atmosphere of Hanoi 70 years ago, those images were portrayed very realistically and clearly by the artists. Through this exhibition, I understand more clearly the great sacrifices of our ancestors and how much effort the previous generations made to bring independence and freedom to our nation today. Therefore, I realize that I, as well as other young people, need to strive to study and develop ourselves more to contribute to building a rich and civilized Vietnam."

Within the framework of the exhibition, at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024, there will be an art talk program with the theme "Famous painter Nguyen Tu Nghiem - the person who connects traditional and contemporary aesthetic values".

The exhibition attracted a large audience.

The exhibition "Hanoi Vitality and Faith" will run until October 22, 2024 on the 1st floor of Building B, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi)./.
