Launching the 5th Political Contest on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation

The press conference was held in a combination of live and online formats with connecting points across the country. At the connecting point of Quang Nam Provincial Political School, there were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; leaders of the Provincial Political School and teachers of the school.

The 5th political essay contest on protecting the Party's ideological foundation in 2025 is chaired by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in coordination with the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, the Central Theoretical Council, the Communist Magazine, Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Vietnam Journalists Association and Vietnam Television.

The contest is open to Vietnamese people at home and abroad, as well as foreigners with relevant political works. We encourage the participation of a wide range of officials, party members, students, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners interested in Vietnam.

Entries can be in many forms such as print newspapers, magazines, radio, television, and video clips. The main theme of the contest is "Protecting, applying, and developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; protecting the Party's guidelines and policies; and practical experience in protecting the Party's ideological foundation."

The period for receiving entries for the central competition is from February 6, 2025 to July 15, 2025. The award ceremony is expected to be held in October 2025.

Speaking at the conclusion of the press conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council emphasized the importance of the competition in the current context.

The contest aims to affirm the important role of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints; at the same time, raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors and people for this task, contributing to strengthening people's trust and creating consensus in society.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang called on all levels, sectors, localities, agencies, units and a large number of cadres, party members and people to actively participate and contribute to the success of the contest.
