Awarding 465 scholarships to talented students
This year, the Vallet Scholarship Fund awarded 304 scholarships to high school students and students who overcame difficulties to study well. In particular, there are 30 scholarships for excellent students from high schools in remote areas.
In addition, the fund also awarded 135 scholarships to undergraduate students and 20 scholarships to graduate students from 10 southern universities.
In addition, the fund has reserved 6 scholarships for the biology group to support the development of the industry in Vietnam.
Mr. Esperan Padonou - director of the Vallet scholarship fund - said that due to health reasons, Professor Odon Vallet could not come to Vietnam to attend the scholarship award ceremony today.
“Professor Odon Vallet said that he would maintain this scholarship for at least another 100 years. Every year we always increase the value of the scholarship to fight against economic inflation, this year it increased by more than 9 million VND compared to last year. We hope that you will contribute to the fund and the development of the country,” said Mr. Esperan Padonou.
Professor Tran Thanh Van - President of the Rencontres du Vietnam Organization, shared: "We are very happy and proud to know that you are excellent students from the Southern provinces receiving scholarships today. We hope that the scholarships you receive today will be a great encouragement for you to fly higher and further."

Scholarship for college
Luong Nguyen Minh Thu (grade 12 student, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted, Vinh Long) said she was very happy and excited to receive the scholarship.
“This is the first time I have received a scholarship. My parents only have normal jobs and when they received this scholarship, my family was very grateful. With the scholarship of 15 million VND, I will save it for next year to have tuition for university” – Thu said.
Le Hoang Trung (student of Huynh Man Dat High School for the Gifted, Kien Giang) said he was very happy, surprised and grateful to receive the large amount of money.
“I knew about the fund before but did not meet the requirements to be considered. With the determination to win the scholarship, last year I worked hard to study and achieved excellent academic results.
This scholarship is a great source of motivation for us students to strive and develop ourselves. With this money, I will use it for my studies and prepare for university in the future" - Trung confided.
5,000 scholarships awarded to Vietnamese students
The Vallet Scholarship was established through the voluntary contribution of Mr. Odon Vallet – Doctor of Science in French Law, Professor of Religious History at Sorbonne University, France.
Despite inheriting a large fortune, Mr. Odon Vallet did not use it but deposited it all in the bank and entrusted a portion to the "Meeting Vietnam" Organization to award scholarships to excellent young people in Africa, Vietnam and Vietnamese students in France.
The Vallet Scholarship Fund was established in 1999 and has awarded 137 million euros in total scholarships. Of these, more than 5,000 scholarships have been awarded to Vietnamese students.
This year, each scholarship for undergraduates and graduate students is 29 million VND, and for students is 15 million VND.
