This is a series of activities of the City Fine Arts Association to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). In addition to the exhibition, the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association also presented awards and printed promotional books with the same theme.

The exhibition was carried out based on the direction of the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee on the direction of creating literary and artistic works with depth and high artistic and ideological value to celebrate major holidays, focusing on the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
Attending the opening ceremony of the exhibition were comrades: Nguyen Manh Cuong, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Nguyen Minh Nhut, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City...

After 5 field trips to get creative inspiration in September and October 2024, members and non-members of the association were interested in the creative theme and submitted more than 300 entries.
After 2 rounds of selection, 143 paintings and sculptures were displayed in the exhibition and selected to award 12 Fine Arts awards. The first prize went to author Tran Viet Ha with the sculpture “Steel Land” (welded iron material).

The exhibits spread the love of art through creations about the city's development over the past 50 years.
These can be images of scientific and technological developments, innovation, the beauty of the streets, modern traffic infrastructure, urban environment and cultural beauty in working life...

The achievements of the past 50 years and the ever-evolving pace of life in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed in fine art works, have left their mark and touched the emotions of the artistic creators with their genuine expressions, bringing viewers a complete and aesthetic journey from the triumphant Spring of April 30, 1975 to Ho Chi Minh City today, in the era of rising up with the country.
