The first quarter of 2025 recorded positive changes in the socio-economic picture of Long Xuyen City. The economy maintained a stable development momentum, with a positive growth trend. The city's trade and service sector recorded growth, with total retail sales of goods reaching VND 6,370 billion, equivalent to 19.44% of the annual plan and an increase of 13.35% over the same period last year. Industrial production maintained a stable growth rate, contributing to the overall economic development of the city. In addition, tourist attractions, entertainment and recreation areas in the city served 29,993 visitors. Revenue from food and accommodation services reached VND 2,460 billion, equivalent to 18.12% of the annual plan and an increase of 17.48% over the same period last year. This shows the strong recovery and attraction of this service industry to people and tourists.

In the first quarter, the city granted business licenses to 522 new establishments, creating 950 jobs and attracting a total initial investment of over VND42 billion. In addition, the locality focused resources on accelerating the construction progress of key construction projects, contributing to promoting socio-economic development. Agricultural production developed stably thanks to favorable weather conditions and well-controlled diseases in livestock and poultry.

State management and administration, apparatus organization and administrative reform continue to be focused on, ensuring smoothness and efficiency in the operations of local governments. Security and order in the city are maintained, creating a safe environment for people to live and work.
