Hue City People's Committee and Vingroup Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation on green transformation.
On February 21, the People's Committee of Hue City and Vingroup Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation on green transformation and digital transformation towards sustainable development goals and responding to the Government's commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

According to the cooperation agreement, based on the strengths of each side, Hue City People's Committee and Vingroup will together build a green transformation and green growth program, towards sustainable development in the period of 2025 - 2030.
The two sides will cooperate in investment in areas such as green tourism, green industry, green agriculture, green urban infrastructure, green transportation, and green lifestyle.
In the field of transportation, Hue City People's Committee and Vingroup joined hands to launch the movement "Fierce Vietnamese Spirit - For a Green Future" and promote the use of electric vehicles throughout the city.
The two sides will have special policies to support people, civil servants, public employees, and state-owned enterprises to buy or rent VinFast electric vehicles or use the SM Green electric taxi service.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee spoke at the meeting.
In addition, the two sides will jointly research and implement a plan to use electric buses in the city to ensure suitability with actual conditions, situations and the green energy conversion roadmap according to the Government's orientation.
In particular, the Hue City People's Committee will study and support the planning and introduce locations for charging stations for V-Green Company. At the same time, the Hue City People's Committee will also study and implement a mechanism to support the development of charging station infrastructure throughout the city.
The two sides will also jointly research cooperation in the fields of green industrial park development, carbon credit projects, digital transformation, culture, conservation, healthcare, green infrastructure and green capital use, promotion, investment attraction, business support and communication campaigns to raise public awareness.
At the same time, Hue City People's Committee and Vingroup will study and discuss other strengths of each side such as real estate, social housing, services, tourism, industry, education, information technology... in the city.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of Vingroup, emphasized that the signing ceremony of a comprehensive cooperation agreement on green transformation between the People's Committee of Hue City and Vingroup is an important milestone opening a promising cooperation path between Hue and Vingroup.
Speaking at the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, said that Vingroup has been pioneering in the field of green transformation with the VinFast electric vehicle ecosystem and green public transport.
"The cooperation between Hue City and Vingroup Corporation creates important opportunities to promote Hue City to lead in the goals of green transformation, digitalization and sustainable development.
At the same time, this cooperation is also an opportunity for Vingroup to research and exploit to the fullest the strengths that have been affirmed by Vingroup in the ancient capital of Hue," said the Chairman of Hue City People's Committee.

The cooperation agreement between Hue City People's Committee and Vingroup Corporation will open up opportunities to accelerate the green transition process in many fields.
"We wish to accompany Hue in researching solutions to promote green transformation, digital transformation and sustainable development, contributing to improving people's quality of life and promoting the local economy in an increasingly sustainable direction," said Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy.
It is known that Vingroup previously signed cooperation agreements with provinces and cities such as Binh Dinh, Vinh Phuc, Thai Nguyen and enterprises such as Viettel, FPT, VinaChem... on green transformation, contributing to promoting the goal of sustainable growth and bringing net emissions to zero by 2050 as committed by the Government.
