VinBigdata enrolls students for Vingroup AI Engineer Training Program season 6, 2025

On April 1, 2025, VinBigdata (under Vingroup Corporation) announced the implementation of the Vingroup AI Engineer Training Program in 2025.

Students will receive free training under the guidance of leading experts in the country and the world. Along with that is the opportunity to develop a career at Vingroup and a scholarship to study abroad at the world's top technology schools.

The AI ​​Engineer Training Program was launched by Vingroup in August 2020 with the mission of training a team of high-quality technology engineers, contributing to building a core workforce in the field of science and technology in Vietnam.

After five seasons (four enrollment courses), the Program has become a launching pad to help many young talents orient and develop their careers in a professional environment.

Many graduates of the program have become lecturers at leading universities, received prestigious scholarships and worked at domestic and international technology corporations.

In 2025, the Vingroup AI Engineer Training Program will accept applications from April 1 to May 15 with an enrollment target of 70 students.

The target candidates are final year students, postgraduate students, bachelors, young engineers, newly graduated masters in the fields of Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Electronics-Telecommunications, Mathematics-Informatics or suitable engineering majors at Vietnamese and international universities.

To qualify for admission, candidates need to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and English proficiency equivalent to IELTS from 6.0, TOEFL iBT from 65, TOEIC from 600.

Candidates will go through three selection rounds including: Screening of documents; Entrance test in Math-Programming, English; and Interview with a panel of experts.

Candidates with valid certificates or studying abroad in countries where English is the main language are exempted from the English test.

The program's training roadmap is divided into two main phases, ensuring a balance between in-depth knowledge and practical training.

The four-month foundation phase covers Basic and Advanced Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics, AI Ethics, Generative AI and additional subjects like Python, MLOps, Data Engineering.

In addition, students will be able to hone soft skills and participate in a series of in-depth seminars related to key technology projects of Vingroup Corporation.

After completing the four-month foundation course, students will enter the internship phase, experience a professional working environment and have the opportunity to participate in international technology projects such as Developing ViVi Virtual Assistant with integrated generative AI, ViGPT Visual Language Model, Intelligent Image Analysis Solution...

Not only gaining practical experience during the learning process, with the training platform according to the roadmap, students also have the opportunity to conquer and own scientific publications at leading conferences and journals on artificial intelligence such as EMNLP (the world's largest Natural Language Processing Conference), ICCV (the world's 3rd largest conference on Medical Image Processing), NCAA (Q1 Journal in the field of AI)...

This will be an opportunity for many students to go far and achieve success in the international arena with Master's and Doctoral scholarships from prestigious universities such as the University of California San Diego (USA), University of Pennsylvania (USA), University of Notre Dame (Australia), Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Singapore Management University (Singapore), Tsinghua University (China)...

Sharing about the program, Nguyen Ngoc Duy Hung, a student of the second course, who received a full scholarship after graduating and is studying for a Master's degree at the University of California San Diego (USA), shared: "The knowledge I learned from the program has been very helpful in completing my undergraduate thesis and writing scientific research articles - important factors in the scholarship application process.
