On December 5, at the University of Technology - VNU-HCM, the Council of Rectors of Universities in HCMC held a workshop on attracting international students and lecturers to study and work in HCMC.
The workshop brought together domestic and foreign experts, scientists and educational managers to discuss the opportunities and challenges in building Ho Chi Minh City into an attractive educational center for international students and lecturers.

Ho Chi Minh City is a special urban area, a major center of economy, culture, science and technology, a hub for international exchange and integration; a driving force with great attraction and influence of the Southern Key Economic Zone. The Resolution of the 11th City Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term sets the goal of becoming a smart city, a modern service and industrial city by 2025, maintaining its role as an economic locomotive and growth driver of the Southern Key Economic Zone and the whole country; By 2030, it will be a modern service and industrial city, a cultural city, full of digital economy and digital society, with an average GRDP per capita of about 13,000 - 14,000 USD, a center of economics, finance, trade, science and technology... By 2045, it will become an economic and financial center of Asia, with sustainable development, high quality of life, an average GRDP per capita of about 40,000 USD, and an attractive global destination.
To achieve the set goals, the Resolution of the 11th City Party Congress sets out 4 development programs, including a breakthrough program on human resources and culture to create a breakthrough for the city's development.
