Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Startups was established on the basis of reorganizing the Center for Application of Science and Technology Advances, under the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City.
The center's headquarters is located at 123 Truong Dinh Street, Vo Thi Sau Ward (District 3) and the facility is located at Lot I - 3b - 3, Road N6, High-Tech Park (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City).
According to the decision, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship is a public service unit in the field of science and technology, under the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, implementing a financial autonomy mechanism, having legal status, headquarters, seal and separate account.
The Center is under the direct direction and management of the organization, staffing, budget and operations of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology.
The Center has the function of gathering and connecting resources in the innovation and startup ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City, and is also a focal point for domestic and international cooperation on innovation and startups with domestic and international technology organizations and corporations as well as promoting innovation in the public sector.
The Center is also tasked with implementing activities to promote and support the innovation and startup ecosystem in Ho Chi Minh City.
The Center can organize or coordinate with incubators, schools, and institutes to develop and incubate innovative startup ideas and projects, social startups to solve community problems through activities such as searching, selecting, training, supporting product development, building business models, etc. for innovative startup projects in the fields that Ho Chi Minh City prioritizes for development.
At the center, Ho Chi Minh City will also provide innovative startup support services such as providing workspace for individuals, startup groups, digital space, online support services, testing, prototyping, technology completion for individuals, startup groups and innovative startup businesses....
In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship will organize research, application, pilot implementation, technology transfer, scientific and technological services domestically and internationally, and at the same time commercialize and replicate the results of topics and pilot production projects in the fields of production, life and environmental protection.
Regarding the organizational structure, the director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship is the head, appointed by the director of the Department of Science and Technology. The deputy directors of the center are appointed by the director of the Department of Science and Technology upon the proposal of the center director.
