On January 9, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a conference to review the Association's work in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025.
Leaders of the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin presented certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's work in 2024.
The provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin currently has 5,550 resistance fighters infected with Agent Orange/Dioxin receiving monthly allowances. Of these, 3,341 victims were direct participants in the resistance (F1), 2,209 victims were children of direct participants in the resistance (F2); 516 victims had a rate of injury of 81% or higher.
In 2024, the Association at all levels in the province coordinated with businesses, social charities, and benefactors inside and outside the province to receive and mobilize the donation of over 11,000 gifts to victims, worth over 3.4 billion VND; donated 15 wheelchairs and 11 wooden beds to victims in difficult circumstances; supported livelihoods for 7 families, worth 70 million VND, and maintained loans for 144 victim households to develop the economy, worth nearly 670 million VND... In addition, the district associations also coordinated with local hospitals to examine, treat and provide free medicine to victims, worth from 500 to 1 million VND/gift.

Promoting the achieved results, in 2025, the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will continue to do a good job of caring for and helping victims of chemical poisoning; actively mobilize agencies, units, political organizations, and philanthropists to promptly support members in difficult circumstances, striving to reach 2.5 billion VND. Promote the work of building the Association's fund at the grassroots level to help members in difficulty to develop the economy, improve their lives, create the best conditions for victims and their families to improve their lives and integrate into the community.
On this occasion, 6 groups and 4 individuals received certificates of merit from the Provincial Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims for their outstanding achievements in the Association's work in 2024.
