3-car pileup, 1 car 'flew' off Phan Thiet highway

On the evening of February 16, on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway (Cam My district, Dong Nai), a series of traffic accidents occurred between a sleeper bus and three cars, forcing authorities to divert other vehicles to Highway 1 to resolve the incident.

According to initial information, at around 8:00 p.m. on February 16, on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, a traffic accident occurred between a sleeper bus and three cars traveling from Binh Thuan province to Dong Nai province. The collision site was about 2 km from the end of this highway.

Authorities initially determined that the accident originated from a sleeper bus colliding with three cars. The strong collision caused two cars to hit the median strip, causing severe damage and many parts to be smashed; the remaining car flew off the highway and was damaged. The accident did not record any human casualties.

Currently, the authorities are diverting vehicles onto Highway 1 to handle the accident scene. The process of diverting and regulating traffic will depend on the situation of handling the accident scene.

Previously, on the afternoon of February 15, on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, through Xuan Loc district (Dong Nai), there was also a "tail-to-tail" collision between 3 cars with license plates 51K-450.72, 72A-525.28 and 51K-312.84 traveling from Binh Thuan province to Dong Nai province.

Although the accident did not cause any human damage, the collision caused local congestion on the above highway.
