The processing and manufacturing industry has always been considered one of the key economic sectors, playing the role of a driving force for economic growth, promoting trade and export, especially some key processing and manufacturing industries such as: textiles, footwear, mechanics, electronics, supporting industries, etc.
Continuing the recovery momentum from the end of 2023 and the first months of 2024, industrial production continues to show improvement and makes a positive contribution to the overall growth of the economy. The added value of the entire industrial sector in the first 9 months of 2024 is estimated to increase by 8.34% over the same period last year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 9.76%, contributing 2.44 percentage points to the total added value of the entire economy.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, since the beginning of 2024, industrial production has grown broadly in most localities across the country, especially in localities playing a key role in industrial development. The production capacity of domestic industrial enterprises has recovered very positively and is ready to take advantage of new market opportunities in the coming time. The confidence of domestic manufacturing enterprises, as well as foreign enterprises, has been strongly reinforced thanks to positive signals in recent industrial production growth.
In the context of favorable factors at home and abroad, production and trade development in the last months of the year also faces many difficulties and challenges. For some key export products to major markets (EU, US), expanding and diversifying markets for industrial enterprises continues to face difficulties.
Accordingly, in order for industrial products in general and the manufacturing and processing industry in particular to have access to demanding markets, many synchronous, effective and feasible solutions are needed with determination from the Government to ministries, departments and enterprises.
To better understand this issue, on the afternoon of October 24, the Industry and Trade Newspaper organized a Policy and Dialogue Program with the topic: " Promoting trade, creating "leverage" for processed and manufactured industrial products".
