At the meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping recalled his state visit to Russia last March, during which he and host President Vladimir Putin outlined a detailed plan to promote relations between the two countries in many fields.
Xi Jinping expressed his hope that the two countries will continue to take advantage of the potential, prospects and momentum of China-Russia relations to promote cooperation in various fields, as well as enrich the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.
According to the leader, China is ready to cooperate with Russia and members of the Eurasian Economic Union to create conditions for the formation of a larger, more open regional market, ensuring the stability and smoothness of the global industrial and supply chain.
For his part, the Russian Prime Minister affirmed that Moscow is ready to cooperate with Beijing to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' leaders in March, and at the same time take advantage of regular high-level meetings and relevant mechanisms to enhance practical cooperation in many fields.
"We sincerely value the long-standing good-neighborly, partnership and cooperative relations between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. This is of particular importance to us in the context of growing instability in the international arena," Mr. Mishustin said.
According to the leader, the two countries "stand shoulder to shoulder against the collective efforts of those countries that want to maintain global dominance and use illegal sanctions to impose their will on independent nations…"
Prime Minister Mishustin is confident that Russia and China will respond resolutely to such dangerous intentions and will create favorable conditions for a stable process towards common strategic goals.
Mr. Mishustin arrived in China on May 22 for an official visit to the country. Before meeting President Xi Jinping, Mr. Mishustin held talks with Prime Minister Li Qiang on strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations and signed many documents to promote cooperation.
