Speaking at a meeting with veteran revolutionaries, meritorious people, and typical policy families in the Northern region on the afternoon of April 15, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), General Secretary To Lam emphasized: “History has shown that the future belongs to those nations who know how to cherish great aspirations and join hands to act for the common good. Under the leadership of the Party, our people have united, joined hands, and achieved many miracles in the cause of national liberation, national reunification, building and defending the socialist Fatherland; we will definitely inherit and promote the traditions of our ancestors, continue to strive to achieve new miracles in the future”.

Vietnam - China Relations: New Milestones, New Prospects, New Stature
General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping is the highest-ranking Chinese leader to visit Vietnam the most times in the history of Vietnam-China relations. Vietnam is the first destination of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping's first foreign visit in 2025. During this meaningful visit, Vietnam and China signed 45 bilateral cooperation agreements in many fields. The deep consensus between Vietnamese leaders and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping on the orientation for developing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, the very high level of political trust and the very wide scope of bilateral cooperation. All of these have created a new milestone, opened up new prospects and brought new stature to the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.

Yesterday (April 15), continuing the 44th session, chaired by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Law on Science, Technology and Innovation and four other draft laws.

People evaluate government performance through PAPI Index 2024
The 16th PAPI Index Report (2024) recorded the opinions of 18,894 randomly selected citizens nationwide. The results showed that citizens rated the performance of the government in 7/8 PAPI content indicators measured in 2024, higher than in 2023. Of the 8 content indicators, 4 indicators recorded significant progress: "Transparency and transparency in local decision-making" (Content index 2), "Control of corruption in the public sector" (Content index 4), "Environmental governance" (Content index 7) and "E-governance" (Content index 8)...

On the path to creating new knowledge as well as developing that knowledge into technology, solutions with potential for application and transfer from laboratories to businesses... research institutes encounter many obstacles, the core cause of which is the lack of synchronization in terms of policy mechanisms. In that context, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TU of the Politburo was issued, setting an important goal of removing barriers, liberating creative capacity from the research sector to transform into innovation capacity in businesses.

Banks support businesses in coping with tariff changes
In the first months of the year, credit increased quite strongly compared to expectations.
