Eye-catching performance by 42 second graders takes the internet by storm

In the performance, the group of second graders reenacted part of the resistance war, the struggle to regain independence and freedom for the country. Throughout the performance, through their eyes and each decisive movement, the students demonstrated the spirit and determination of our army and people.

The video of the performance after being posted on social networks attracted tens of thousands of views, shares and expressions of interest.

Many people gave compliments to this carefully prepared and emotional performance. “Impressive”, “touching”,… were the consecutive comments for the children’s performance.

"Although the children are young, their performance brought so many emotions to the audience," wrote a social network member.

The performance is even more meaningful in the context of the whole country in April with the important holiday of 50 years of National Reunification April 30, 2025.

Ms. Kieu Ha, a parent, shared: “Even though I have watched this performance many times, I am still deeply moved by it. Every time I watch it, I am moved with pride. An excellent performance to celebrate April 30 - National Reunification Day. The performance is even more impressive and touching when it comes from the young students of the new generation. Maybe the second graders do not fully understand the two words "country", but through each melody of the songs, the enthusiastic footsteps, the powerful flag-waving scenes... surely the children will understand more about patriotism and national pride."

This is the performance "Aspiration for the Day of Return" performed by students of Tay Son Primary School (Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi) at the Art Festival to welcome the 15th Congress of Uncle Ho's Good Children of Hanoi City - 2025 recently held.

Sharing with VietNamNet , Ms. Pham Thanh Ha, homeroom teacher of class 2A6 at Tay Son Primary School, said she was very surprised when her students' performance was well received, supported, and spread quickly.

“This is a class performance to participate in the school's extracurricular activities - the annual "Tayson's Got Talent 2025" contest and was awarded the Excellent prize by the school. The performance was also fortunate to be selected by the Hai Ba Trung District Youth Union and the school to participate in the art festival program to celebrate the Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress in Hanoi this year."

Ms. Ha said that her wish when creating this performance was that 100% of the students in the class would participate to express themselves on stage. "There are good students in the class, with many talents, but there are also students who are still shy and do not dare to express themselves. My wish is that all students will be confident in expressing themselves and participate in the school's movement activities. Therefore, I encouraged all 42 students in the class to go on stage together," Ms. Ha said.

According to Ms. Ha, the performance was designed and built by her and her students to celebrate April 30 - National Reunification Day and to instill in students a love for their homeland, country, and national pride. During the production process, the teacher and students also received support and help from their parents and choreographer Quang Gia Huy.

“What I am very happy about is that all the students in the class showed confidence and excitement for this meaningful activity. Through the performance, they understood more about the silent sacrifices and heroic spirit of the soldiers and previous generations to protect the country, so that they can have the peace they have today. For young students, the concept of history may still be too big and vague, but I believe they have somewhat understood more about 'the resistance that won the country back for life' or the mother-child love as mentioned in the song Mother loves her child in her own performance," said Ms. Ha.
