In the period of 2020 - 2023, the province has had more than 21 typical agricultural and rural development models, contributing to accelerating the application of new scientific and technological advances in production; helping the agricultural and rural development sector to stabilize and have remarkable growth.

In recent years, typical agricultural and rural development models have appeared more and more diversely in fields such as: cultivation, livestock, aquaculture, forestry, especially models of linking organic rice production; linking production and consumption of biomass corn, passion fruit, organic pepper, coffee, medicinal herbs; converting watermelon cultivation on rice land lacking water in the summer-autumn crop; producing bitter melon according to natural farming methods in the autumn-winter crop; applying 4.0 technology to production; producing citrus fruit trees according to organic standards, VietGAP.
High-tech livestock farming; biosafety pig farming in an organic direction; high-quality beef cattle farming; cattle herd improvement program; white-leg shrimp farming model following a multi-stage process in an advanced technology direction; application of improved hydraulic winch technology to collect bottom trawls; application of CPF technology in preserving products on offshore fishing vessels...; linking production and consumption of wood products from planted forests with sustainable forest management certificates; building improved nurseries for tissue cultured acacia seedlings; converting hybrid acacia forests from small to large timber forests; safe food supply chain...
The effectiveness and spread of typical models have contributed to bringing the production value of the agriculture and rural development sector to over 9,000 billion VND; food output to over 300,000 tons; fresh meat output to 59,000 tons; and forest wood exploitation output to 1 million m3/year. There are 115 products with OCOP certification and 15 safe food chains.
In the coming time, the agriculture and rural development sector has set out orientations and plans to replicate typical models in the period of 2023 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Accordingly, by 2025, the area of organic rice production under natural cultivation will reach over 1,000 hectares, with a vision to over 3,000 hectares by 2030. Replicating models of linking production and consumption of biomass corn by 2025 will reach over 50 hectares, by 2030 will reach over 200 hectares. Replicating models of linking production and consumption of passion fruit, it is expected to expand to over 120 hectares by 2025, and about 500 hectares by 2030.
Plan and stabilize the area of orange cultivation in suitable areas. Continue to develop models of linking production and consumption of organic pepper, reaching over 150 hectares by 2025 and over 200 hectares by 2030. Replicating the model of linking production and consumption of specialty coffee to reach over 200 hectares by 2025 and over 300 hectares by 2030. Encourage the development of models of conversion on rice land lacking water in the summer-autumn crop to crops with high economic value such as watermelon, biomass corn, green beans, striving to reach over 300 hectares by 2025 and over 500 hectares by 2030.
Research and evaluate new cassava varieties to select suitable varieties that are suitable for the cultivation conditions in the province, gradually replace old degraded cassava varieties, strive to replace about 2,500 hectares of cassava with new cassava varieties by 2025. Focus on expanding autumn-winter and winter crop models such as the model of growing nem and bitter melon on coastal sandy soil using natural intensive farming methods, strive to develop over 2,000 hectares by 2025. Promote the application of 4.0 technology in production such as drones for spraying pesticides as well as preparations for caring for crops.
Focus on encouraging and attracting businesses to invest in the livestock sector; develop livestock farming according to value chains and high technology; support and replicate high-tech, organic, biosafety, and VietGAP livestock farming models in regions and localities that ensure conditions and suitability; mobilize small-scale livestock farming households and farms to convert production to apply biosafety livestock farming processes, forming a safe food supply chain on the basis of forming livestock cooperatives and cooperatives; promote the development of key livestock products with advantages and competitiveness such as pigs, poultry, BBB beef, etc.
Continue to implement policies to support high-tech shrimp farming projects; prioritize land allocation and support high-tech shrimp farming investors to expand high-tech shrimp farming areas. Support the establishment of 4-5 nurseries of forestry seedlings and native trees to serve the needs of production and development of high-quality raw material forests, and restore and regenerate natural forests.
At the conference to evaluate typical agricultural and rural development models in the period of 2020 - 2023 and orientation for replication in the coming time organized by the Provincial People's Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong said that in order to replicate typical production models in the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development together with departments, branches and localities need to promote propaganda, dissemination, training, and transfer of typical models that have proven effective to people and businesses for replication.
Strengthening the accompaniment and support of people to maintain and develop typical models. Continuing to call for and attract enterprises to link production, processing and consumption of agricultural products. Accelerating the application of new science and technology, especially high technology in production; promoting the formation of high-tech agricultural production areas associated with processing and export enterprises, prioritizing the formation of high-tech agricultural application areas for livestock farming combined with crop cultivation...
